TV Scriptwriters are evil :P

I am now convinced that TV scriptwriters are evil 😛

Let me explain: those of you who know me will know that I am a fan of the TV Show Dexter. Well, the Season 6 finale premiered last Friday in the UK (15/6/12). Well, they left it on the biggest cliffhanger they’ve ever had on the show… and Season 7 won’t be out for about another 9 months.

Note that the rest of this post contains spoilers for anyone who is a fan and hasn’t seen it yet.

For those who aren’t familiar with the show, Dexter is a blood-spatter analyst for Miami-Metro Homicide, but he also has a ‘need’ to kill people. His (adoptive) father Harry taught him to only kill those who deserved it (other killers) and taught him how to not get caught. Dexter also has a (non-biological) sister called ‘Deb’ who is the woman in the scene below.

This Season was about religious killings. Travis Marshall believed that he and his college professor (who he had actually killed and was hallucinating to be alive) were “the two witnesses” who had to carry out “The seven keys” before the world could end. Dexter had been hunting them down.

At the end of the Season finale, Dexter finally managed to get Travis onto his “table”. This was the last scene (warning: there is a small amount of “graphic” violence):

Cut to the credits. Right after the ironic “Oh God” from Dexter when he saw his sister. She watched him kill someone – found out his secret. Now we have to wait another 9 months to find out what happens next.

TV Scriptwriters are definitely evil 😆

That’s what keeps you watching, Callum. They do it so you will be glued to your tv when the season premiere airs.
